Acer says it has managed to fit top-end specifications into the Predator Triton 700 in relatively slim (for a gaming laptop) chassis that’s 18.9mm thick thanks to Nvidia’s Max-Q technology and its own innovative cooling featuring AeroBlade 3D metal fans.
The new Predator gaming system makes use of Nvidia Max-Q, which allows the machine to be as thin and as quiet as it possibly can be. The new technology turns supposedly bulky gaming laptops into ultraportable notebooks. Acer likens the innovation to space age advancement.
“Building on the highly acclaimed Predator 21 X curved gaming notebook, Acer is proud to announce the new Predator Triton 700, an incredibly thin yet powerful gaming notebook,” Hou said. “Our industry-leading Aeroblade 3D fan with metal blades provides ultimate thermal performance, which allows us to pack massive computing power inside this ultra-thin form factor without compromise.”
The Predator is unassuming for such a powerful laptop. It lacks the audacious design of similar computers, and is probably the most understated of the three when closed. A Predator logo on the lid is the only thing really giving away its purpose as a powerful, mobile gaming computer.
The device further offers two NVMe PCIe SSDs in RAID 0 configuration and up to 32GB of 2400MHz DDR4 RAM. However, the company has said that the specifications may vary depending on model and/or region.
