Meizu Zero: “The First Holeless Phone” – No Ports, Buttons Or Speakers


Lately most of the mobile companies have already removed the navigation buttons from the phones that is back, home and recent and have replaced it with the touch navigation. Many have also come up with no audio jack in the phone, and with these we had already in mind that the coming phones would have no buttons, or no ports in future. But we were expecting it to be less holeless than the Meizu Zero, as it has no charging port, no sim slot, no speaker grilles, or no buttons.

The power and the volume buttons have been replaced with capacitive touch sensors that means you just have to touch it to work. The sensors have been placed at the edge of the phone like where the hardware buttons existed. With no charging port, the phone solely depends on wireless charging and for it they have worked upon the fast wireless charging concept. It charges at 18 W with its Super mCharge Wireless technology. This speed of wireless charging is fastest yet.

Talking about the removal of the sim slot, the phone comes with the eSIM technology. The e here stands for embedded that means the sim is embedded on the chip of the mobile phone, and cannot be removed like the regular sim cards. The phone uses the piezoelectric transducers and that is how it got rid of the speaker grilles, the transducers turn the screen into a speaker. With all these, Meizu has not compromised with the other specs, it has 5.99-inch AMOLED display running on the fastest Octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset with 4 and 6 GB RAM variants available. It has a 20MP front camera, and a dual camera 12MP + 20MP rear camera.

The release date, and the price of the phone have not been revealed yet, but this phone will definitely inspire the other phone makers.
