Paytm has taken a new step to increase access to the users and to compete with other competing apps. The company launched the ‘Paytm‘ tap card. Using this card, users will be able to make offline payment, meaning that without the help of internet, payments can also be made through Paytm. The company has claimed that it will be able to transact in less than 0.5 seconds. The company said that under this, traders will get NFC POS terminals through which payment can be made.
Users will need to scan the code on the tap card to make payment. After this, it can be edited in any Paytm Account by verifying it with any ad value machine. While moving towards Digital India, Paytm tried to simplify the payment system. Under this, the company is partnering with the corporate and educational institutions as the first part. According to Kiran, CEO of Paytm, ‘There are many people who want to make payments, but do not use online payment due to no internet connection. To enable people to make online payments, the Paytm Tap Card has been introduced.
