WhatsApp will STOP working on these phonesfrom December 31
Facebook’s proprietary mobile messaging app service Whatsapp will stop working on many mobile platforms from December 31. ExpressDocumentDotUK has confirmed it on behalf of the company in a news item published on Monday.
According to the news, the messaging app will stop supporting BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Windows Phone 8.0 and older platforms since December 31.
Whatsapp said, “We will not actively develop things for these platforms. Some features can stop working at any time.”
The company has said that these platforms do not have the kind of capability that we need for the expansion of our apps.
These are the mobile OS that would stop supporting WhatsApp after Dec 31
- Nokia Symbian S60 after June 30, 2017
- BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 after December 31, 2017
- Windows Phone 8.0 and older after December 31, 2017
- Nokia S40 after December 31, 2018
- Android versions 2.3.7 and older after February 1, 2020\

According to the company, if you use any of these mobile phones, then we recommend upgrading to a new OS version or new Android running OS 4.0+, iPhone running iOS 7+ or Windows Phone 8.1+.
Whatsapp has said is that the Nokia S40 will not work after December 2018. Apart from this, this app will not work on Android OS 2.3.7 or older since February 2020.
